As we look forward to auto show season, we can’t help but get excited for what’s to come at next month’s SEMA Auto Show in Las
Vegas. This event is always an exciting one as many auto manufacturers will reveal early-stage concepts and judge the public’s reaction to determine whether or not they will make it to production. One model generating specials attention in anticipation of the event is the Hyundai Genesis Hurricane – and with good reason due to its jaw-dropping horsepower and highly-anticipated design.
As Edmund’s Inside Line reports, the level of hype for the latest Hyundai concept is one of the most compelling to date. What makes it especially unique isn’t its powerful 3.8-liter V6 engine – it’s the Magnuson Products supercharger that gives the model an impressive 144-horsepower boost for a total of 450 horsepower. Although the model is slated for future track events vs. a path for mass production, there is a tremendous amount of excitement around the model that engineers have worked diligently to bring to life for the last 2 years.
This is just a showcar. However, Magnuson provides us with the ability to produce an OEM-level supercharger if we wanted to. Our guys at HATCI are real gearheads and are always tinkering around on the side. We continue to investigate options. – Hyundai Motor America Spokesman Miles Johnson

Portland Car Dealer: 2013 Hyundai Genesis Spy Photos Reveal a Full Makeover
With all of the excitement buzzing around the 2012 Hyundai Genesis, Car and Driver is again taking it one step further and spying on the 2013 model, which 
looks to have even more significant upgrades and a whole new style all its own.
With the near record-breaking success of the 2011 Elantra and all-new Accent, the Genesis Coupe looks to follow their lead in terms of its sleek, curvacious exterior design. It will also include many of the sporty features present in the previous editions, such as alloy wheels, fog lights, and hexagon-shaped grille that gained popularity among the before-mentioned models. In terms of performance, it is assumed to have a 333-hp direct-injection, 3.8-liter V-6 engine with the same 8-speed automatic transmission present in the 2012 Genesis, which easily exceeds its closest competitors in power.
The interior will also receive a makeover, with the dashboard style being similar to the 2012 Elantra and upcoming Veloster. The center console was said to “flow upward into a slight pinch before widening to blend into the upper dash panel”, which will provide a nice visual upgrade to an otherwise relatively plain front seat area.

Portland Car Dealer: 2012 Hyundai Genesis Impresses in First-Drive Review
The 2011 Hyundai Genesis drew solid reviews from auto publications for its high level of luxury and performance, but one aspect consistently fell short: power. 
Enter the new and improved 2012 Hyundai Genesis. As Car and Driver reports, the R-Spec option has been updated with Hyundai’s new 5.0-liter V-8 engine. This is the same engine featured in Hyundai’s ultra-luxurious Equus, which debuted the engine in 2011. The result is a jaw-dropping 429-hp, compared to 333-hp in the 3.8-liter V-6 included in the base Genesis.
Perhaps the most significant upgrade in the newest Genesis is the tweaked suspension. When the Genesis was first introduced, it was criticized for its rough ride and questionable handling. The balance is much improved for 2012, delivering a smooth driving experience on the pavement and effortless cornering. The new springs provide an easy ride over bumps and potholes, another significant improvement over the previous Genesis.
In terms of features, the latest Genesis still has the luxury customers loved about the 2011 model. This includes heated front and rear seats, exclusive Lexicon audio system, premium navigation with 8-inch display, and hands-free calling. New additions include a new grille and fascias, upgraded headlights with LED accents and daytime-running lights, redesigned rocker panels, and new taillights.

Hyundai News: Pomplamoose Is The Highlight Of Hyundai’s Holiday Campaign
Hyundai’s holiday campaign features new music from the popular duo Pomplamoose’s Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn reports hyundainews.com. Pomplamoose recorded three new covers of traditional holiday favorites for the campaign- “Deck the Halls” is the theme for a new Genesis spot, “Up on the Rooftop” is the soundtrack for an all-new 2011 Sonata spot and “Jingle Bells” is used in several spots featuring deals on Accent, Elantra and Santa Fe.

Conte and Dawn are featured playing instruments and singing in all of Hyundai’s holiday advertising. By mixing each instrument individually and then combining together, the duo presents a fresh “video song” style.
